When it comes to getting fit, everyone knows that exercising is an essential tool aside from a healthy diet. The problem is, a lot of us hold a love-hate relationship with exercise or anything else that is in any way related or connected to it. Some people on the other hand have learned to just put up with it. Just “putting up” with it though is not enough if we want to be successful in our goal. The secret to it is for us to learn to love exercise. In order to achieve this love for exercise, we would first need to understand why we don’t like it so much.
For those who are not amiable to the thought of exercising, let us ask ourselves why we feel that way towards it considering the fact that we already know that it is all part of the entire process of getting fit. Many of us feel this way towards exercise because most of the information that we have obtained are either wrong or misinterpreted. Even when we are already aware that exercise will lead to a long and healthy life of quality, we still don’t see it as reason enough for us to actually start doing it. This is because our view on exercise is all from the outside or comes externally. If we want to make exercise a part of our lifestyle in order to stay fit, we have to learn to appreciate it from the inside. So how exactly can we do that?
Learning to appreciate exercise when one is getting fit is not that hard to do. You just have to isolate yourself from all the external factors which may influence your judgment and feeling towards what you are doing. Focus solely on yourself and on the feeling that you get during and after you exercise. You will be surprised to find out that it brings out a whole lot of positive energy from within you in the form of an adrenaline rush and what we may call as “Endorphins”. Once you have discovered that feeling, you’ll find it hard to break free from the habit of exercising.
